We’ve kicked off a fresh new campaign this footy season — and it’s already grabbing attention across WA and Victoria.

In a first for MyPlace Australia, two of WA’s most recognisable AFL players — Elliot Yeo from the West Coast Eagles and Nat Fyfe from the Fremantle Dockers — have teamed up to help us bring smart home tech to Aussie households in a way that feels familiar, fun, and full of local pride.

The new TV commercial, developed alongside Perth creative agency Braincells and produced by Sandbox, is centred around a playful footy-themed concept called the Pre-Pre-Game Show. The show brings a comedic twist to a classic pre-game format, with Fox Footy’s Kath Loughnan and fictional footy tragic Sammy ‘Super Smart’ Samuels visiting players in their homes as they prep for game day.

Familiar Faces, Smarter Homes

This campaign taps into what weekends really look like for many Australians — footy on the telly, family at home, and comfort front and centre. With Yeo and Fyfe representing opposite sides of WA’s AFL rivalry, we loved the idea of showing that even fierce competitors can agree on one thing: smart home tech makes life easier.

From scheduling air con zones for post-training recovery to dimming lights for pre-game focus, the spots show how MyPlace works with the rhythm of your day — no matter your team colours.

A Local Campaign, with National Impact

Building on the momentum of MyPlace’s partnership with the NRL’s Penrith Panthers, this campaign reflects our continued focus on connecting with households through sport-led storytelling — particularly in AFL-strong states like WA and Victoria.
